Does anyone know of any messengers to use that work better than windows live messenger +? I liked msn and upgraded to windows live and windows live +, but then they went and changed the whole layout over the weekend and I hate it. Does anyone know of any other messengers that will be good to use with JAWS 9? I have tried using aim, but as I said on another topic, I was having trouble registering with it.
Thanks for any ideas.

I have quite a few blind friends that use Miranda, but I personally have not. If any of you use Miranda and JAWS, maybe you could help Harmoney out?

Bittlbee.
Its an IRC server. You connect to testing.bitlbee.org, register yourself, and identify, set up your aim msn and yahoo accounts, and done.

How about google talk? Since you have jaws 9, it will work, that is what I use! But keep in mind, you'll have to route jaws to pc a lot, but other than that, it's not hard once you understand how it works.

I use a old version of msn. 7.5, I believe. I set it up so it is like I'm running windows 2000.

Hmmm, I just looked at the properties of my msn and I can't find the part to adjust the settings. Hopefully someone on here can be more helpful. It was a fellow zoner that put forth the suggestion and link.

I use windows live 8.5 with WLMPlus and jfw 9, and a few scripts to get the alt 1-0 keys to work and I have no problems with it.

uses Miranda and like it alot, because of its portability and the fact that it is a multi-messaging client. although for me, sometimes file transfers have been slow but IM is what I use it for and not file transfers.

If you wish to go and download Windows Live messenger 8.5 go to filehipo.com then go the heading of messaging or something like that go to windows Live messenger and then search in your links list for the older versions. Click on it and then after that page loads go to download this version.
If you need things with the scripts or wlm ask ashly about that as i am not sure.
If you wish to get miranda the blind one go to andrelewis.com/mirandaunconfigured.exe. I think thats what it is. If not you may tell me and send me hate mail or something. LOL.
Peace and i hope this helpped.
